2025 Implementation Strategy for the Lower Santa Fe and Itchetucknee Rivers and priority springs

The 2025 Implementation Strategy (Strategy) for the Lower Santa Fe and Ichetucknee Rivers and priority springs (LSFIR) Minimum Flows and Minimum Water Levels (MFLs) identifies approaches to recover and maintain river and spring flows in the Lower Santa Fe River Basin to meet the MFLs proposed for adoption by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in coordination with and to be applied by the Suwannee River Water Management District and the St. Johns River Water Management District. This Strategy identifies the project components and other measures necessary to effectively address the immediate recovery needs of the LSFIR MFLs. The Strategy was approved by the District’s Governing Boards in November 2025.
